Neste Jacobs offers all the services that will guide you through every stage of setting up a new industrial plant. From process and feasibility studies, to Process Design Packages (PDP), Basic Engineering Design (BED) or Front End Engineering Design (FEED), and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM), to pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of the plant – we take you through every step.
If you already have operating facilities, we can help you troubleshoot and treat any problems. You can also use us for life cycle services, such as maintenance, equipment upgrades, and decommissioning.
Neste Jacobs has built a substantial network of engineering and construction subcontractors you can trust to run projects using both our own and local resources.
Technology in Engineering
Making full use of our long history in process engineering, we develop our process and automation technologies in-house. This makes it easier for us to tailor it for your specific needs. For example, you can buy a licence for any of our range of process technologies for installation on your site. We can adapt it for your industry, location and particular requirements.
Model-based process and technology development
Sometimes, you may wish to create your own technologies or develop an existing one. Neste Jacobs has been using model-based process development since the 1980s. Its main purpose is to speed up the process development phase by targeting operations that maximise both safety and profitability.
When you do a project with us, you will be working with one or more of over 1300 experts, all top-line specialists in their fields. You will also have access to more than 60 years of experience in the engineering of new industrial plants and other major engineering projects in Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East.
Our relationship with you is just as important as the engineering and technology know-how we share with you. Neste Jacobs is dedicated to building long-term partnerships with our customers. The greatest compliment you can give us is to work with us again. The Neste Jacobs values are responsibility, innovation, cooperation and excellence.
Over 60 years of excellence
Neste Jacobs – then and now
We are the Nordic region’s leading provider of technology, engineering and project services for the oil and gas, biorefining, petrochemicals and chemicals industries, including the life science and utilities sectors.
The history of Neste Jacobs goes back to 1956. It began as the engineering department of Neste Oy, a Finnish oil refining and marketing company. The engineering department was corporatised in 1999, and Neste Engineering Oy was formed. In 2004, Jacobs Engineering Inc became a minority owner, and the name Neste Jacobs was born.
From the beginning, we have been leaders in innovative engineering. The combination of our long experience with our in-depth knowledge has always delivered safe, reliable solutions to our customers with the most up-to-date technology available.
We aim for excellence in everything we do. It’s in our heritage and guides our future.
Today, Neste Jacobs has over 60 years of experience in the engineering of new industrial plants and other major engineering projects in Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East. The company is 60% owned by Neste and 40% owned by Jacobs Engineering. Currently, the joint organisation employs just over 1300 people and net sales in 2016 totalled €163.3 million.
Neste Jacobs specialises in the provision of competitive engineering, procurement, and construction management services in close cooperation with our customers. We have also built an efficient network of engineering and construction subcontractors to optimally execute projects involving both our own and local resources. New areas, such as technology development and consulting, are growing in importance.
One key area of growth is our range of advanced process and automation technologies, which are adapted, tested and now used daily by a rapidly increasing number of customers around the world.
As a relationship-based company serving an international customer base, the Neste Jacobs commitment to building long-term partnerships is best shown by the fact that a high percentage of our work comes from repeat business with existing customers.
